The intrepid cyclists will leave Brussels on the 21st of May and arrive in London on May 25th in time for the Annual European Congress of Rheumatology (EULAR).

UCB is delighted to join a host of corporate sponsors and partners once again in supporting the Biking Against Rheumatoid in Europe (BARIE) initiative. The trip follows last year’s successful excursion from Brussels to Rome which inspired the organisers to repeat the experience of 2010.

While we have sponsored the event for a number of years, this is the first time a UCB employee will join the cyclists. Françoise, a UCB employee, is looking forward to challenge of cycling to London. "Saying 'yes' to this event was easy. The challenge is both human, as I'll be meeting patients, but physical as well of course. I'm looking forward to interacting with the participants and dedicating my time to them." Françoise said.

Brussels, Mons, Ghent, Bruges, Zeebrugge, Dover, Kent, Schilam, and Rochester are just some of the towns and cities the BARIE team will take in en route to EULAR.

All going to plan, they will arrive at the conference centre in London on the afternoon of the 25th of May just in time for the first plenary session.
